Starring Park Ji-Hoon and Hong Ye-Ji, the much-awaited KBS K-drama Love Song for Illusion released a new teaser trailer on Thursday, December 14, 2023. The series follows the story of a man with two conflicting personalities. He falls in love with a woman who is eager to seek revenge on her family. Since the K-drama’s announcement, viewers have been anticipating this series because of its cast and intriguing storyline.
In the newly released Love Song for Illusion trailer, Park Ji-Hoon battles his two personalities—Crown Prince Sajo Hyun and his alter ego, Ak Hee. However, he has Yeon-Wol (Hong Ye-Ji) to help him fight the evil spirit inside of him. The love story takes an interesting turn when the alter ego personality comes in between Sajo Hyun and Yeon-Wol. Meanwhile, the latter also lives a double life, considering she is desperate for revenge.

The new Love Song for Illusion trailer begins with Park Ji-Hoon‘s intense battle between his two personalities—Crown Prince Sajo Hyun and his alter ego, Ak Hee. However, Sajo Hyun tries to keep his alter ego in, stating, “How dare you break through my body!” The dark, ominous background and eerie music aptly introduce Ak Hee into the narrative. Moreover, the crown prince confirms that an evil spirit resides inside him.
On the other hand, Yeon-Wol, an assassin turned concubine, is focused on seeking revenge on her family. In the trailer, she asks herself to focus on the mission. She says, “Focus. You must get revenge.” She pulls out her knife, looking to kill someone. Viewers will find out more about her revenge and fallen family while tuning in to the drama.
The trailer also indicates a love story between Yeon-Wol and the crown prince. Aside from glimpses of the two characters spending time together, scenes of the crown prince protecting her from her family and fighting his own battles with his alter ego take center stage. By the end of the trailer, Sajo Hyun promises to battle the evil spirit and tells Yeon-Wol, “As long as you are by my side, I will not back down.”
